Fascinating Details - Analysis and Synthesis
I really like to look at things in detail and thus to discover something about its structure and the relations and connections. Analysis and synthesis – the disassembly in its single components and the assembly of elements to a system accompany us in the sciences and in our live wherever we go.
By the use of the analysis most sciences determine a reference case or try to find causes for a reference case. The analysis is here one step to solve a problem or to improve a situation. In this context details are often visually enlarged sections. The disassembly in its details has mainly the analysis in mind, the assembly of details to a whole, mainly the synthesis.
The analysis ends with the recognition or identification of the essence or character and of the inner relations and connections. The synthesis is the reverse process and puts together the in the analysis found elements to a new whole. The single and the general, the specific and the abstract and the manifold and the unity are connected that way.
Contrary to the empiric method, which works with experience and experiments the synthesis creates the realization from a theoretical model. Often there is more than one realization and therefore there is no unambiguous solution.
Fascinating areas of application are the production of new substances, the design of linear and nonlinear systems, digital circuits, gear boxes, in the quantum mechanics, in the artificial intelligence, in the music and in the art for the composition of new themes and forms.
